How concerned ahould I be if carpenter ants eating the wood on the outside of my house?

Well, one thing you don’t have to worry about is a carpenter ant feeding on the wood in your home, since they don’t eat wood. Carpenter ants do chew through wood, mostly damp wood, to build galleries where they live, produce eggs and raise young.

As carpenter ants dig into the moist wood, they push out the chewed wood called “frass” through their openings.  Numerous galleries in your home can weaken structural integrity, but generally, it will take a few years. But, never ignore a carpenter ant infestation!

I see even more carpenter around my house after you treated my property for carpenter ants. What's going on?
There is no need to worry! It is not unusual after treating carpenter ants, their numbers increase. With our treatments, the ants in the colonies don’t die immediately. Our spray treatments’ active ingredients attach to the ant’s feet and bodies and get carried to and passed on to the colony members.

After the first treatment, please be patient. We guarantee the carpenter ants will bring these toxic ingredients to the colony. But don’t worry, our spray insecticides are harmless to you, your pets, and all mammals.
